Anderson, Patriots deal called off

FOXBORO, MASSACHUSETTS - Former Falcons running back Jamal Anderson won't be part of the New England Patriots immediate plans, after all. <br>

A day after Anderson's agent said a deal was all but done, coach Bill Belichick said Tuesday that Anderson won't be on the roster.<br>
<br>
The Patriots were among six teams Anderson's agent showed interest in Anderson, who led the NFC in rushing in 1998 but had season-ending injuries in 1999 and 2001 with torn anterior cruciate ligaments.
