Blood shortage for Labor Day weekend

ATLANTA - The American Red Cross says treatment for accident victims for the Labor Day weekend could be affected by severe blood shortages. <br> <br> The agency is holding special blood drives at shopping malls in the metro Atlanta area and blood donor centers from Saturday through Monday. <br> <br> The Red Cross says total blood levels have fallen below a one-day supply on the shelves, with less than a third of a day&#39;s supply of type O blood.
