Teen charged in apartment fire

ATLANTA - A 17-year-old was charged yesterday with first-degree arson in connection with a fire that left 35 people homeless in a Norcross apartment complex where he lived. <br> <br> Police arrested Lamont Whitted for the three-alarm fire Wednesday at the Adelaide Park Apartments off Beaver Ruin Road. <br> <br> Gwinnett fire officials say arson was immediately suspected. <br> <br> Witnesses say they saw people running from the location where the fire started - a unit that was under construction. <br> <br> Lieutenant David Dusik says a motive has not yet been determined and no other arrests are expected. <br> <br> No one was injured in the fire but authorities say 35 residents lost all or some of their belongings and two buildings were heavily damaged. <br> <br> Dusik says the same unit was accidentally set on fire six months ago.
