Storms knock out electricity for some in Atlanta

About 200 Georgia Power Company customers remain without power after storms rolled through metro Atlanta. <br>

That's down from about one-thousand earlier this morning. A spokeswoman says crews should have power restored to everyone by noon Wednesday. <br>

The National Weather Service reported high winds, hail and lightning Tuesday night in Fulton, Cobb, Carroll, Gwinnett, Jones, DeKalb, Clayton, Fayette and Floyd counties. <br>
<br>
In Marietta, damage was widespread with the Marietta Lighting Company losing its roof and sustaining water damage. Several small planes were overturned at McCollum Field and trees toppled in Marietta Square. <br>
<br>
Clayton County was hit after 6:15 p.m. About seven-thousand residents were without power at the height of the storm.
