Dorsey `victim' wants bonding license back

DECATUR - Lawyers for a woman who testified against former DeKalb County Sheriff Sidney Dorsey say they will fight to get her bonding license back. <br> <br> The attorneys for Shirley McMichael say they will file a petition in Superior Court this week to overturn the current sheriff&#39;s decision to revoke her bonding license. <br> <br> DeKalb County Sheriff Thomas Brown says he revoked McMichael&#39;s bond based on her testimony that she had bribed Dorsey and had sex with him in order to be allowed to keep her business in operation. <br> <br> Wednesday, jurors said they didn&#39;t believe her story. They found Dorsey innocent of two bribery charges based on her testimony, although they convicted Dorsey of other charges including the murder of Sheriff-elect Derwin Brown. <br> <br> The current sheriff said he revoked McMichael&#39;s license based on a Georgia law that ``requires that bonding agents have good moral character and that they comply with policies, rules and regulations.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> McMichael&#39;s attorneys say she had no past problems with the sheriff&#39;s office and that she was Dorsey&#39;s victim.
