Mother of four killed in Macon car accident

MACON - A Macon woman, who was once a noted success story in a national welfare-to-work program, has been killed in a car accident. <br> <br> Belinda Ficklin, a 32-year-old mother of four, was killed Sunday. <br> <br> Macon police said Ficklin and two of her children were passengers in a 1978 Monte Carlo when a 1987 Blazer driven by 64-year-old Willie Taylor struck Ficklin on the passenger side door. Ficklin died at the scene. <br> <br> The driver of the Monte Carlo, Abimeleeh Williams, and Ficklin&#39;s children were injured in the accident. <br> <br> No one has been cited in the accident. Police say they are still investigating the collision and that alcohol may have been a factor. <br> <br> Ficklin was a receptionist at the corporate office of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia, a job she was promoted to through the transitional program GoodWorks.
