British Open not kind to Georgians

GULLANE, SCOTLAND - Georgia&#39;s contingent in this year&#39;s British Open in Scotland didn&#39;t fare as well as they had hoped.<br> <br> With South Africa&#39;s Ernie Els winning the top prize of $1.1 million in a four-player playoff, Davis Love the third of Sea Island led the Georgia contingent.<br> <br> Love posted a four-under 67 on the final day to tie for 14th place and earn more than $78,000.<br> <br> Former Georgia Tech star David Duval finished in a six-way tie for 22nd place to earn more than $50,000. Duval posted a 70 in the final round.<br> <br> Another former Tech star, Stewart Cink, tied for 51st place with a closing 69. Cink earned more than $14,000.
