AUGUSTA - Morris Communications has named Stanley Warren as director of its Eastern Publishing Group, which includes ten daily newspapers and nine shoppers. <br>

Warren had previously been president of a Thomson Newspapers division in Alabama and south Georgia. In his 23-year career at Thomson, he was publisher at newspapers in Americus, Dalton and Bluefield West Virginia. <br>
<br>
Most recently, he managed a retail operation in Valdosta. <br>
<br>
As head of the Eastern Group, Warren will be responsible for The Daily Ardmoreite, Ardmore, Oklahoma; The Examiner, Blue Springs, Missouri; The Examiner, Independence, Missouri; Hannibal (Missouri) Courier-Post; Hillsdale (Michigan) Daily News; The Holland (Michigan) Sentinel; Log Cabin Democrat, Conway, Arkansas; The Oak Ridger, Oak Ridge, Tennessee; The Shawnee (Oklahoma) News-Star; and the News Chief, Winter Haven, Florida.
