Funeral held for DeKalb County police officer

STONE MOUNTAIN - Funeral services were held Wednesday for the DeKalb County police officer who was killed last weekend when her patrol car crashed into a ravine and struck a tree while responding to a call. <br> <br> Services were held for 34-year-old Ann Guinta at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial followed at Stone Mountain Cemetery. <br> <br> Guinta, a five-year veteran, was responding Saturday to a report of a fight on a MARTA transit bus. Witnesses said she swerved to avoid hitting a truck but clipped it, losing control and careening into the woods. <br> <br> The accident was the first traffic death of a DeKalb County officer since 1998, when two died in separate accidents.
