Authorities widen shopping scam investigation

DECATUR - DeKalb County police say an investigation into a shopping scam that targets older people as they shop for groceries is widening in the metro Atlanta area. <br> <br> Police spokesman Pam Kunz says officers are looking into some 40 cases in which two women distract older shoppers and then steal their money. <br> <br> She says officers in Atlanta and Fulton County also are investigating other incidents. <br> <br> Authorities are looking for two women and a man. <br> <br> They believe that one woman distracts a customer by asking about a product or asking for help finding an item. The other woman then steals the customer&#39;s wallet or purse.
