Two weekend accidents leave three teens dead

Two wrecks in Douglasville and Morgan County left three teenagers dead and three in the hospital over the weekend.<br> <br> Two Eatonton teens were killed Saturday when a Ford F-150 pickup truck crossed the median and struck a Honda Accord driven by Randy Morris, 16, said Sgt. M.H. Bentley, a spokesman with the Georgia State Patrol.<br> <br> Morris and his passenger, Kathie Krafft, 18, died at the scene.<br> <br> The two men in the pickup truck fled the scene, Bentley said.<br> <br> &#34;One didn&#39;t get far, and collapsed,&#34; he said.<br> <br> Authorities were still trying to identify the second man who had escaped.<br> <br> Douglas County teen Rodrick Pierce, 17, was killed Saturday morning when the car he was riding in struck a utility pole in Douglasville.<br> <br> Pierce was sitting in the front seat of a 1994 Ford Tempo driven by James Bayne, 18, when the car swerved, struck an embankment, went airborne and hit a utility pole, said Tim Bearden, a spokesman for the Douglasville police.<br> <br> Two passengers in the back seat, James Baldwin, 16, and Katie Bayne, 14, were also injured.<br> <br> James Bayne remained in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital on Monday. James Baldwin was in stable condition at the Atlanta Medical Center. Katie Bayne was treated at Hughes Spalding Children&#39;s Hospital and released Sunday.<br>
