Woman killed in lightning strike at park

MARIETTA - A 49-year-old Marietta woman is dead after being struck by lightning as she walked with her husband and dog in Cobb County. <br>

Marietta Assistant Fire Chief Mike Tinsley says Pamela Hayes was struck about 7 p.m. Tuesday as she walked along a trail at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield yesterday. <br>
<br>
Storms moving through parts of metro Atlanta brought heavy rains with the National Weather Service issuing several severe thunderstorm warnings. <br>
<br>
The man and dog were unharmed.
