ARDMORE - All 19 missionaries from a Tennessee church who were stranded by riots in Peru are back on U.S. soil.

Eleven members of the Cash Point Baptist Church are riding a bus back from Atlanta and are expected to return early Tuesday afternoon to Ardmore (Tennessee). They flew in Tuesday morning.

Deda McCown says the mission team is exhausted but well. And many say they'd return.

The mission team's homecoming was delayed when rioting over the sale of state-owned utilities closed an airport in southeastern Peru.

Pastor Kevin Shearer says his group had to bribe demonstrators to remove roadblocks to get to the Arequipa airport. They were trapped there until a military helicopter plucked them out on Sunday.

The mission team is expected to attend Wednesday night's church service.

The church is located near the Tennessee-Alabama border.
