TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA - Stephen Drew's two home runs lifted Florida State to a 13-6 win over South Florida on Sunday and extended the Seminoles' winning streak to 25 games.
The victory also moved Florida State into NCAA super regional play, where it will play Notre Dame. The Seminoles (59-12), the overall No. 1 seed in the 64-team field, likely will play host to the Fighting Irish, although the official announcement will come Monday.
South Florida's Jon Uhl (9-6) kept Florida State in check early, helping the Bulls (35-29) hold a 3-0 lead through four innings. But Drew delivered a two-run homer that put the Seminoles on the scoreboard and sparked a seven-run fifth inning.
Florida State added three more runs in the sixth on Tony Richie's three-run homer. Drew added a solo shot in the seventh his 18th of the season to make it 11-3 and give starter Mark LaMacchia plenty of cushion.

LaMacchia (11-1) settled down after a shaky start to earn the win. He allowed seven hits and five runs in 7 2-3 innings. He also struck out six without a walk.

Uhl (9-6) surrendered three hits, a career-high six walks and five runs in 4 1-3 innings.

The Seminoles, in the NCAA tournament for the 25th consecutive year, are two wins away from their 19th trip to the College World Series and fifth in the last six years.
Despite all that success, Florida State has never won a national title. No other team has been to Omaha, Neb., as many times without winning it all.
