GRIFFIN - Police say a woman went into a care and rehabilitation facility last night and shot her two sons, who were being treated there for undisclosed disabilities.
Police spokesman Sergeant James Landham said 63-year-old Carol Carr, whose last known address was in Hampton, was in a Spalding County jail Sunday morning, charged with two counts of malice murder and could face additional charges.
Landham said both sons - 42-year-old Michael Randy Scott and 41-year-old Andy Byron Scott - died early this morning at separate Atlanta hospitals.
He said they both had suffered a long-term degenerative disease but said he could not be more specific about the disease.
Landham said Carr shot the men in their room, then went to the lobby, sat down on a sofa and waited for police to arrive.
