Police trying to identify body of decomposed man

ATLANTA - Cobb County police combed through missing person reports Saturday trying to identify the body of a decomposed male found in an abandoned house. <br> <br> Workers demolishing a house in Austell Friday found the remains of a man underneath the building, said Cobb police spokesman Dana Pierce. <br> <br> ``It was discovered in the crawl space underneath what appeared to be an addition to the house,&#39;&#39; Pierce said. ``Investigators said the body appeared to have been there quite some time.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> The age and race of the body could not be determined, Pierce said. <br> <br> Investigators are ``looking for a document trail,&#39;&#39; but Pierce declined to say whether papers or other evidence, including clothing, were found in the remains. <br> <br> An autopsy was performed Saturday, but calls to the Cobb Medical Examiner&#39;s office were not immediately returned Sunday.
