ATLANTA - Testimony is continuing Tuesday in the trial of a Fayette County man charged with murder in his wife's death.
Law enforcement officers working the case five years ago testified Monday that Jim Watson's story did not add up.
Beverley Watson disappeared from her home on January 20th, 1997. Her bones were found near Fairburn two years later.
Investigators with the Fayette County Sheriff's Department said that they noticed the 39-year-old Watson was hiding two scratches on his face.
They testified that Watson told officers he wanted to look for his wife's car before filing a missing person report, though authorities said the car had been parked in the Watsons' garage since Mrs. Watson got home January 17th.
