Teacher license to be suspended for posting test questions

LAWRENCEVILLE - A teacher who posted questions from the controversial Gateway test on the Internet two years ago was told Thursday that his license will be suspended for six months. <br> <br> James Hope said he would appeal the decision by the Professional Standards Commission, the 18-member group responsible for licensing Georgia teachers. <br> <br> The fourth-grade teacher at Centerville Elementary School in Snellville said he will take his case to Superior Court, his last avenue for appeal. <br> <br> Hope, his school&#39;s 2000-01 Teacher of the Year, posted six Gateway test questions on an anti-Gateway Web site days after his pupils took the exam. He said his intent was to show flaws in the county-developed standardized test.
