Georgia man charged with disrupting Detroit-to-Tokyo flight

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - A 47-year-old Georgia man is in federal custody, charged with interfering with crew members on a flight from Detroit to Tokyo. <br> <br> William Mullis of Savannah is charged with disrupting Northwest Airlines Flight 69 Thursday. <br> <br> FBI special agent Phillip Reid said Mullis&#39; behavior became erratic soon after the flight with more than 300 passengers on board departed from Detroit. <br> <br> Reid says Mullis smoked in the restrooms, attempted to kiss passengers and verbally threatened one of the flight attendants. <br> <br> The Boeing 747 made an unscheduled stop in Anchorage and Mullis was arrested at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. <br> <br> He is awaiting an appearance before a federal magistrate.
