OSTEEN, FLORIDA - Authorities retrieved the bodies Saturday of two women and one man who were killed in a small plane crash, officials said.

The Piper Malibu crashed in a remote sod farm 25 miles northeast of Orlando Friday night, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office. Witnesses said the plane had part of its right wing missing when it went down.

The pilot has been identified as Calvin M. Miller, 60, with homes in Naples and Atlanta. Miller's mother, Addie K. Stonesifer, 86, of Salisbury, N.C., was a passenger in the plane. The third victim is believed to be a 53-year-old woman whose next of kin had not been notified late Saturday, said Gary Davidson, spokesman for the sheriff's office.

The plane was reportedly flying at 26,000 feet when it disappeared from radar at Orlando International Airport.

Davidson said the plane was believed to be headed to South Florida, though details about its exact point of departure or destination were not finalized Saturday.

Local law enforcement agents and officials from the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board were investigating.

A duty officer with the FAA referred calls to the NTSB regional office in Miami, which did not immediately return a message.
