Navratilova returns to singles

Martina Navratilova lost a bet. <br>

Because of that, she's going to play in a WTA singles event for the first time since retiring in November of 1994. <br>
<br>
Navratilova lost a bet with her personal trainer, and the loser had to do whatever the winner wished. The wish was for her to play singles again. <br>
<br>
The Eastbourne tournament in England stepped in with a wild card berth offer, and Navratilova accepted, saying she's very excited and thinks it will be a lot of fun playing next week. <br>
<br>
Navratilova is now 45. She returned to play doubles on the WTA Tour in 2000.
