Senegal edges Sweden in OT

OITA, JAPAN - Henri Camara scored his second goal of the game 14 minutes into overtime Sunday as Senegal beat Sweden 2-1 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Cup. <br> <br> The surprising Senegalese became the second African team to make the final eight; Cameroon did it in 1990. <br> <br> Senegal plays Japan or Turkey in the quarterfinals on Saturday in Osaka. <br> <br> It was just the second golden goal to decide a World Cup match. In France four years ago, eventual champion France beat Paraguay 1-0 when Laurent Blanc scored in the 113th minute. <br> <br> Camara made a brilliant move around defender Johan Mjallby before putting a low left-footed shot off the goalpost and past keeper Magnus Hedman, who had come out to challenge. <br> <br> Camara had tied it in the 37th minute when he sent a skidding low shot past a diving Hedman. <br> <br> Henrik Larsson, with his third goal of the World Cup, gave Sweden the lead in the 11th minute, heading in a corner kick after goalkeeper Tony Sylva came out of the net, but missed the ball.
