Georgia-Pacific subsidiary files public offering

ATLANTA - Georgia-Pacific&#39;s consumer products subsidiary has filed an initial public offering to sell as much as a billion dollars of its stock. <br> <br> Monday&#39;s filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission did not specify a share price or the number of shares to be sold. <br> <br> The company is currently called CP&P, although the company&#39;s final name has not been announced. <br> <br> CP&P will own and operate Georgia-Pacific&#39;s consumer products, packaging, paper and pulp businesses. <br> <br> Last month, Georgia-Pacific&#39;s board approved splitting the company. GP will continue as a building products and distribution enterprise. <br> <br> The public offering registration is subject to SEC review.
