COLUMBIA, SC - Coupon shoppers won't have to keep up with teh small slips of paper to get discounts at Piggly Wiggly stores in Georgia and Alabama.
The grocery store chain says it will introduce a virtually paperless coupon system starting in September in more than 100 stores in the two states.
The Let's Go Shopping system will allow shoppers to use a booklet to get their discounts instead of clipping coupons from the paper.

Shoppers will pick up the booklets at the store or get them in the mail. The books have lists of products and discounts, each imprinted with a bar code. The cashier scans the code to give the discount.

The books expire each month, but the coupons can be used more than once. Officials won't reveal specific companies, but say the books will have coupons for name brand products from cereals to household cleaners.
