GRIFFIN - A woman who shot her two sons to death in a nursing home because they were suffering from Huntington's disease has widespread support in Spalding County.
Henry Moxley, a retired pharmacist, said, "I don't think there is anything the law can do to her that hasn't already been done to her."
Sixth-three-year-old Carol Carr is charged in the June eighth killings of Randy and Andy Scott.
Superior Court Judge Ben Miller said Thursday that he'll wait for the results of a psychological evaluation before deciding whether to free Carr on Bond.
District Attorney Bill McBroom said that before recommending bond he wants to be assured that Carr won't harm herself or be a risk to her remaining son, James Scott, who also suffers from Huntington's disease.
McBroom said, "I just want to make sure we've done everything we can to make sure she doesn't hurt herself or someone else."
Carr surrendered to police after the shootings and has been in the Spalding County jail under a suicide watch. She attended her sons' funeral under guard last week and then was returned to jail.
