GWANGJU, SOUTH KOREA - Host nation South Korea has advanced to the semifinals of the World Cup. The South Koreans upset Spain 5-3 in a penalty-kick shootout after a scoreless tie. <br>

South Korea is the first Asian nation to advance to the semifinals of the World Cup and will now face Germany.
