Equifax hires new CEO

ATLANTA - Atlanta-based Equifax Incorporated, one of the country's three big credit reporting agencies, said Tuesday that it has hired the former head of travel reservation firm Galileo International as its president and chief operating officer. <br>

Mark E. Miller joined Galileo's parent Cendant Corporation in 1997. New York-based Cendant bought Galileo, based in Parsippany, New Jersey, in October and named Miller chief executive. <br>
<br>
The 42-year-old Miller also has been president of Cendant-owned Avis Rent a Car System Incorporated and G.E. Capital Financial, part of G.E. Capital Services. Miller also has worked as a sales manager for American Express.
