DULUTH - Gwinnett County authorities say they will not file charges against a cat breeder who had 34 dead and sick cats in her home in Duluth.
Detective Marcus Head says officers found the neglect of the animals was not a deliberate act.
The woman had been taken by ambulance to the hospital on June 14th. Her neighbors were unaware that she had gone to the hospital.
For the next six days, 25 cats were trapped inside her home without food or water. A neighbor called police on June 20th.
They found seven kittens in the freezer awaiting burial, two dead cats in the hallway and the other 25 dehydated and hungry.
