Plane crashes in China; 112 aboard

BEIJING - A Chinese airliner with 112 passengers and crew aboard crashed Tuesday in a city in northeastern China, the official Xinhua News Agency said. <br>

It said rescue efforts were under way but gave no immediate information about any survivors. <br>
<br>
The China Northern Airlines jet crashed in Dalian, a port city on the northeastern coast, 280 miles east of Beijing, Xinhua said. <br>
<br>
The agency's Chinese-language service said the plane disappeared over water.
