Fatal stabbing discovered in one-car accident

VIENNA - Police responding to a one-car accident Friday morning discovered a stabbing victim whom officials say was being driven to the hospital by friends. Tyre Williams, 30, died at the hospital from multiple wounds. <br> <br> Williams&#39; girlfriend, Aletha Cross, 28, was charged with murder. <br> <br> Vienna Police Chief David Musselwhite said the stabbing apparently was motivated by an argument the couple had earlier that night. <br> <br> The two were partying with another couple Aretha Woods and Ronquillo Wilson of Americus when Williams and Cross started to argue and Williams left the house, reports said. <br> <br> Several hours later, Williams allegedly broke back into the residence and ``was met with a knife,&#39;&#39; GBI special agent-in-charge Tom Davis said Friday. <br> <br> Woods and Wilson were driving Williams to the hospital when Woods apparently ran her car off the road at about 6:30 a.m. <br> <br> ``I don&#39;t think they knew where they were,&#39;&#39; Musselwhite said. <br> <br> Woods was charged with DUI, and Wilson was charged with interfering with emergency assistance and making terroristic threats. <br> <br> All three were being held in the Dooly County jail.
