NEWNAN - Authorities identified three men found buried under soil and sand in the back of a pickup truck along Interstate 85 southwest of Atlanta.
Coweta County Sheriff Mike Yeager identified the three Tuesday as Martin Hernandez, 31, of Douglasville, his brother Ricardo Hernandez, 30, and Aldaco Rodriquez, 42, both of whom were believed to be from Mexico.
The three, who died of gunshots, were groundskeepers at a house in Atlanta. The house was searched for several hours Tuesday by agents of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Coweta County district attorney's office.
Yeager said investigators did not confiscate any evidence or make any arrests. The house was the last known place where the men were seen, he said.
The men were found April 30 just south of the Newnan exit, in grass on the side of the southbound lanes, authorities said. None of the three had any identification, and their pockets were empty. The license tag had been removed from the truck, Yeager said.
