ATLANTA - A man wanted for questioning in the death of a 34-year-old woman shot in a high-rise condominium apartment has been arrested on unrelated federal charges.
Johnny Ray Johnson, 49, was arrested Tuesday night in Hapeville by FBI agents, and Atlanta and Hapeville police. He was wanted on probation violation charges. Officers received a tip on his whereabouts.
Atlanta detectives wanted to question Johnson about the death of Lawandra Kinsey, whose body was found last week in her bedroom at Park Lane, a high-rise apartment building in Buckhead. She had been shot in the chest.

Police said Kinsey lived alone, and there was no sign of forced entry. Neighbors did not hear a shot, and there were no signs of a struggle inside the woman's home.
An anonymous letter alerted authorities to the slaying. The letter was sent to police in East Point south of Atlanta, and authorities there notified the Atlanta homicide squad. The letter also was sent to the Park Lane leasing office.
In the early 1990s, Johnson served three years in a federal prison for investment fraud, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Atlanta. He was to remain on probation until March 2003.
Authorities took out a warrant last year for probation violation, based on a new fraud charge by Atlanta police.
