Power salvages late tie with Beat

ATLANTA - Krista Davey scored in stoppage time as the New York Power erased a two-goal deficit in the final six minutes and salvaged a 3-3 tie with the Atlanta Beat Saturday night. <br> <br> In a game that featured four goals in the final 11 minutes plus stoppage, Kylie Bivens&#39; unassisted goal in the 79th minute gave Atlanta the lead, and Sun Wen scored three minutes later to give Atlanta a 3-1 lead. <br> <br> The Power (1-3-1) pulled within a goal on Tiffeny Milbrett&#39;s goal in the 84th minute, and Davey took advantage when the ball bounced off Atlanta&#39;s Briana Scurry who left the goal cut the ball off. <br> <br> The Beat (1-3-1) remained unbeaten all-time against the Power. Atlanta held a 2-0-1 advantage over New York entering the game. <br> <br> Atlanta, which is 5-1-2 all-time in games when Bivens records either a goal or an assist, scored two goals in its first four games. <br> <br> Bivens, playing midfield for the first time this season, battled for a high pass and created a straight-on shot from 12 yards out to beat New York goal keeper Saskia Webber after a shot by Homare Sawa. <br> <br> New York took the initial lead on Mustonen&#39;s header in the 18th minute off a crossing pass from Milbrett from the left side. <br> <br> Atlanta pulled even in the 51st minute, when Nikki Serlenga&#39;s corner kick was headed in by Charmaine Hooper. <br> <br> Atlanta&#39;s Sharolta Nonen and Milbrett, who had a confrontation during a preseason game in February, got into a shoving match in the 38th minute and had to be separated by game officials.
