Vanderbilt hammers Kentucky

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - A day after Kentucky beat Vanderbilt 19-7, the Commodores returned the favor Sunday with a 17-4 victory over the Wildcats sparked by a grand slam homer by Karl Nonemaker. <br>

Jonathan Douillard's homer in the second inning scored three runs to give Vanderbilt (22-25, 6-19 Southeastern Conference) a 3-0 lead. <br>
<br>
The Wildcats (17-32, 6-21) got on the board in the fourth on an RBI single by Gordon Tyler and Seth Morris' run-scoring fielder's choice. <br>
<br>
But Vanderbilt's Nonemaker hit his grand slam homer in the fifth inning to highlight an eight-run inning and put the game away. <br>
<br>
Jeremy Sowers (5-5) got the win and Rob Corrado (1-3) suffered the loss.
