Authorities identify body found in Etowah River

EMERSON - A Cartersville man drowned while fishing in the Etowah River west of Emerson, officials said Sunday. <br>

Emergency workers recovered the body of Kerry Stermer, 39, after a 19-hour search. Bartow County officials said Stermer and another man were fishing in the river Saturday when the boat they were in overturned. <br>
<br>
The other man, whose name was not released, managed to swim to shore. <br>
<br>
A helicopter spotted Stermer's body Sunday afternoon. <br>
