GAINESVILLE - Brenau's tennis team received several honors at the annual ITA/NAIA awards banquet on Sunday. <br>

Senior Shan Liew was named Senior of the Year. Shan is ranked fourth in the country in doubles and in the top 50 nationally in singles. <br>
<br>
Dr. Bill Rogers, Brenau tennis coach and athletic director, was named National Coach of the Year for Women's Tennis. Brenau junior Tonia Grib and Shan Liew won Academic All-American awards. <br>
<br>
The awards were presented by the Inter-Collegiate Tennis Association in conjunction with the NAIA. There are 149 women's programs; 24 are invited to National Championship,which starts Monday at the Peachtree City Tennis Center. <br>

As top seed, the Golden Tigers will not face their first opponents until 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, when they play the winner of today's match between Webber International (Fla.) and Bethany (Kan.) <br>

First Round (Seeds 9-24) - Monday, May 13th <br>
Second Round (Winners Day 1 vs. Seeds 1-8) - Tuesday, May 14th <br>

Championship Matches - Friday, May 17th <br>

Format (Men & Women): Seeded, 24-team, single elimination, dual match tournament. Seeding and Bracketing will be decided by the NAIA-Men's and Women's TCA Tournament Committees. <br>

The first round will consist of matches between seeds 9-24, seeds 1-8 receive byes.
