Augusta woman killed trying to cross expressway

AUGUSTA - An Augusta woman was killed early Tuesday morning when she was hit by a pickup truck on the Bobby Jones Expressway. <br> <br> Richmond County Deputy Coroner Mark Bowen said 42-year-old Rhonda Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene about 1 a.m. <br> <br> Meyer and her boyfriend were driving on the expressway and got into an argument. She pulled over to the side of the road, flagged down another vehicle and was talking when she was struck by the truck. <br> <br> Bowen said Meyer&#39;s body was sent to the crime lab in Atlanta for an autopsy.
