SE Missouri stuns Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS - Southeast Missouri's Denver Stuckey knocked the third pitch of the game over the left field wall to set the pace for a 5-4 victory Wednesday over Arkansas. <br>

It was the fifth home run of the season for Stuckey, who went 4-for-5 batting and scored two runs. <br>
<br>
Southeast Missouri (30-16) jumped out to a 5-1 lead and held on in the final three innings as Arkansas (28-23) mounted a comeback that fell short. <br>
<br>
Razorback starter Clint Brannon (1-1) took the loss after pitching 5 1-3 innings, during which he allowed four earned runs on seven hits. <br>
<br>
Brad Purcell (10-2) got the win, allowing one earned run and six hits in seven innings of pitching. Brandon Smith was credited with his first save of the season after relieving Purcell in the eighth.
