CUMMING - Forsyth County investigators have wrapped up a month-long investigation with the arrests of four people on drug charges.

The arrests came during a day-long search of two homes on Dahlonega Highway.

Daniel Keith Karlin, 38, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act and conspiracy to sell methamphetamine.

Nora Jones, 37, was arrested at one of the two residences with Karlin and is charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Two other arrests were made when two suspects arrived at the residence while authorities were serving the warrants.

Susan Annette Hamilton, 39, pulled up, and her vehicle was searched. She is charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Phillip Lamar Smallwood, 34, also showed up during the search. He is charged with possession of marijuana.

Forsyth County authorities said he has outstanding warrants in Forsyth and Dawson counties.

Three of the suspects are from Forsyth County. Smallwood is a Dawson County resident.

Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton said federal charges could follow.

Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms took part in the raid.

"We also recovered suspected machine gun parts," Paxton said.

If the parts are proven to be from machine guns, then federal charges could come.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office S.W.A.T. team also took part in the raids last Friday at 4350 and 4346 Dahlonega Highway.
