DAWSONVILLE - Tragedy has hit the friends and family of yet another northeast Georgia teenager. They are mourning the death of a 16 year old from Dawsonville who was killed in a traffic accident in Dawson County Thursday night.

16 year old Brandon Parker was riding in a 1984 Chevrolet S-10 pickup that hit a tree on Thompson Road off of Georgia nine. The driver of the pick-up, 16 year old Craig Fowler of Dawsonville, was taken by Life Flight helicopter to North Fulton Hospital in serious condition. A State Patrol Radio Operator Friday said he was expected to survive.

According to the Cumming State Patrol Post, Fowler was rounding a curve when he lost control of the pick-up, and it hit a tree.

No charges have filed. The accident remains under investigation. Troopers responded to the accident at about 8:12 p.m.
