Forsyth leads Georgia in families with children

WASHINGTON - Forsyth County led the way in Georgia in the 1990s in the number of families with children.

The Census Bureau says Pickens County was another county in our area showing a marked increase in the number of families with children - a 44% increased between 1990 and 2000.

The report shows that 42% of households in Hall County had residents 18-and-younger at the time of the 2000 Census.

In addition to Forsyth, two other counties in north Georiga - Paulding and Henry - more than doubled the number of families with kids between 1990 and 2000.
