BorgWarner to cut 116 jobs in Gainesville plant

BorgWarner Cooling Systems, a provider of engine cooling solutions to the sport-utility and light truck markets, has notified the Georgia Department of Labor that it will cut staff in its Gainesville plant.<br> <br> According to the Georgia Department of Labor, the job action will affect 116 employees and will begin June 14, 2002.<br> <br> BorgWarner Cooling Systems, is a global provider of engine cooling solutions. The group manufactures and markets air sensing and coolant sensing fan drives that can be mechanically or electronically controlled and also manufactures and markets polymer fan blades and air control shutters for engine cooling systems.<br> <br> Customers include Ford, DaimlerChrysler, General Motors, Toyota,Honda, Caterpillar, Navistar International, PSA and VW Group.<br>
