Fockele dies

GAINESVILLE - A former longtime publisher of The Times in Gainesville, who was an active member of this community in a number of areas for many years, has died.<br>

Lou Fockele died Tuesday following a lengthy illness. <br>
<br>
Fockele was instrumental in bringing Lanier Village Estates, a retirement community on Thompson Bridge Road, to Gainesville.
