DECATUR - A second DeKalb County police officer has been accused of stealing money from Hispanic drivers during traffic stops.
Officer Roddrick E. Armstrong, 30, a three-year veteran of the department, was charged Thursday with theft by taking and violating his oath of office.
Officer Michael Antonio Williams, also 30, was arrested Wednesday on the same charges.
If convicted of the second charge, Williams and Armstrong could be sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The arrests come at an awkward time for DeKalb law enforcement authorities, who are already investigating another officer who shot and killed a 19-year-old Hispanic man outside a Cinco de Mayo celebration earlier this month.
