ATLANTA - Lottery officials announced Wednesday that three winning tickets were sold for the $325 million Big Game jackpot in Georgia, Illinois and New Jersey.
One was claimed by 20-year-old Erica Green, who lives with her parents about two miles from the convenience store in the small town of Dacula where one of the three lucky tickets was sold. Each winning ticket is worth $108,333,333 in the second-largest jackpot in U.S. history.
Green, who works at a cell phone office, said ``I'm going to invest it and spend it wisely. I'm not going to work, no. I'm going to invest and let the money work for me.''
Green, who said she had never played the lottery before, bought ten tickets last night.
She arrived at the lottery office in a stretch limousine with her boyfriend and her mother. She said she planned to buy a car and a house, but had no plans after that.
Dacula is about 30 miles northeast of Atlanta.
Illinois state lottery officials said another winning ticket was sold at a gas station in Burbank, a suburb southwest of Chicago.
Lottery officials said the third ticket matching all five numbers and the Big Money ball was sold in New Jersey's Union County. Lottery spokesman Anthony Brooks said the ticket was sold Saturday and was a Quick Pick, meaning a machine randomly selected the numbers. Officials had not yet determined exactly where the ticket was sold.
