Sally tapes her last show, dumps the red glasses

NEW YORK - After 20 years as a T-V talk hostess, Sally Jessy Raphael called it quits with a jab at her trademark red-framed glasses. <br> <br> Raphael taped the final edition of ``Sally,&#39;&#39; which was canceled by its syndicator. <br> <br> The last show features a series of joke tapes in which Raphael has her glasses run over by a train, drives a car over them, dumps them off a bridge and melts them in a sandwich griller. <br> <br> Now it can be told: ``I&#39;m not fond of them,&#39;&#39; she says. <br> <br> Raphael says she&#39;ll find another job somewhere in the media ``probably in news.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Dick Cavett, Chubby Checker and the Four Tops are among the guests on the farewell show, which airs May 22nd.
