Rape suspect must change schools

MARIETTA - A 17-year-old student accused of raping another student at Marietta High School has been expelled for the rest of the year but will be allowed to attend a more restrictive alternative school next fall. <br> <br> A panel of three school district employees decided yesterday that Michael Dawson should have permission to attend the alternative school next fall but will not be allowed to ride a bus. <br> <br> Marietta schools superintendent Harold Barnett says Dawson will be allowed to return to Marietta High School if he has not graduated by August 2003. <br> <br> Dawson was suspended after his arrest March tenth. He is accused of raping a 16-year-old girl in a boy&#39;s bathroom at the school on March seventh. <br> <br> Dawson&#39;s mother - Robin Forbes - says the girl may have been coached by her parents to lie about the alleged attack.
