CNN anchor rails against questions regarding ties

NEW YORK - CNN business news anchor Lou Dobbs denounces as ``frivolous&#39;&#39; suggestions that he might have a conflict of interest. At issue are his commentaries defending Enron auditors Arthur Andersen. <br> <br> Dobbs, host of ``Moneyline,&#39;&#39; has sharply criticized the Justice Department&#39;s indictment of the firm. It is charged with obstruction of justice for allegedly shredding documents related to the failed energy trader. <br> <br> The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times have questioned whether Dobbs&#39; history with the company is a conflict. <br> <br> It is reported that he accepted a speaking fee from Andersen and hired the company as auditor for an Internet venture after he left CNN before recently returning. <br> <br> Andersen also sponsored a weekend show Dobbs hosted. <br> <br> Dobbs says anyone at Andersen who committed crimes in the Enron case should be prosecuted, but that he&#39;s speaking up for the innocent people at the auditing firm. <br> <br> Dobbs also questions how a speaking fee would influence him considering his high salary. He said, ``just think of the economics of it.&#39;&#39;
