No. 1 Clemson holds off late N.C. State rally

CLEMSON, S.C. - Michael Johnson hit his 13th home run of the season and knocked in two runs as Clemson beat N.C. State 6-4 in Atlantic Coast Conference action Friday night. <br>

The Tigers (26-1, 4-0) used a three-run seventh and fought off a Wolfpack rally in the eighth to keep its win streak alive. Kyle Frank, also hit a homer his third of the year and knocked in two runs. <br>
<br>
David Hicks hit his second home run of the season and knocked in two runs for N.C. State (20-12, 1-6). <br>
<br>
Each team recorded an error. <br>
<br>
Steve Reba (8-0) struck out six in seven innings and gave up two runs on two hits for the win. Paul Harrelson allowed no hits in the top of the ninth to pick up his sixth save of the season.
