Caraustar to hire Deloitte & Touche

WASHINGTON - Atlanta-based Caraustar Industries says its board has decided to dismiss Arthur Andersen L.L.P. as the company&#39;s independent accountant. <br> <br> The recycled packaging company will hire Deloitte and Touche to audit its financial statements for the year ending December 31. <br> <br> According to a filing Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the appointment of Deloitte and Touche will be submitted for shareholder ratification at the company&#39;s annual meeting of shareholders scheduled for May 8. <br> <br> The company says it does not have any disagreements with its former auditor. The filing does not indicate why the company decided to switch auditors.
